CalcGuard: Private Photo Vault

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 15, 2026
Last Updated: August 15, 2026

Nexyrova ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CalcGuard: Private Photo Vault mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected when you use our app.

By installing or using CalcGuard: Private Photo Vault, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview of Our Privacy Approach

CalcGuard: Private Photo Vault is designed as a local private vault app. The app is intended to store your private photos, videos, notes, files, and other vault content on your device in app-private storage.

Important:

  • We do not upload your vault content to our servers.
  • We do not sync your vault content to any cloud service.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your private content.

However, as with many mobile apps, some non-content device and advertising-related information may still be collected by third-party services such as Google AdMob and Android system services.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect, store, or access the contents of your vault, including:

  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Files
  • Notes
  • Secret credentials
  • Any other private files stored inside the app

These items are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us or to any remote server owned by us.

3. App Permissions and Why They Are Used

To provide the app's security and functionality, the app requests certain Android permissions. These permissions are used only for the features described below.

3.1 Camera Access

Permission: android.permission.CAMERA

This permission is used for:

  • Taking photos directly in the vault
  • Recording videos directly in the vault
  • Intruder selfie detection when an incorrect PIN or pattern is entered

Captured photos and videos remain stored on the device in the app's local storage. They are not uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties by us.

3.2 Biometric / Fingerprint Authentication

Permissions:

  • android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC
  • android.permission.USE_FINGERPRINT

This permission is used to allow secure biometric unlock of the vault using the device’s fingerprint or biometric system.

We do not collect, store, or process your raw biometric fingerprint data. Biometric verification is handled by the Android operating system through secure hardware/software APIs. The app receives only a success or failure result.

3.3 Internet Access and Network Status

Permissions:

  • android.permission.INTERNET
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

These permissions are used to:

  • Check internet/network connectivity
  • Load app-related network features
  • Support third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob

This permission does not give us access to the contents of your vault.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

To support app availability and monetization, CalcGuard may display ads using third-party advertising providers, including Google AdMob.

These advertising services may collect:

  • Advertising ID / Google Advertising ID (GAID)
  • Device type and model
  • Operating system version
  • App usage and interaction data
  • Diagnostic or crash data
  • Network and performance information

This information is processed according to the privacy policies of those third-party services, including:

We do not sell your personal content. However, ad networks may collect advertising-related data as described by their own privacy policies.

5. Device Data, Crash Logs, and Diagnostics

If the app experiences a crash, error, or unexpected behavior, some non-personal diagnostic data may be automatically collected for troubleshooting and app stability. This may include:

  • Device model and manufacturer
  • Android version
  • App version
  • Crash timestamp
  • Error stack traces
  • Basic performance data

This information is used to:

  • Fix bugs
  • Improve app stability
  • Improve app performance
  • Diagnose compatibility issues

This data does not include the contents of your vault or your private photos/files.

6. Auto Backup and Device-Level Backup Considerations

The app declares Android backup support through the system configuration. This means the device may back up some app data if Android backup is enabled on the device.

Important:

  • We do not upload your vault data to our own cloud servers.
  • However, if Android backup features are enabled on your device, some app data may be backed up by the operating system according to device settings.
  • The app does not control or manage those system backup settings.

We recommend that users disable Android backup or exclude this app from device backup if they want maximum privacy for local app data.

7. Data Storage and Local Security

Your private data is stored locally on your device in app-private storage. We use standard mobile application security practices to protect data within the Android app sandbox.

However, no mobile application can guarantee absolute protection against:

  • Device theft
  • Rooted or compromised devices
  • Malicious apps
  • Operating system security issues
  • User misconfiguration

We strongly recommend:

  • Using strong device security
  • Enabling screen lock and biometric protection
  • Keeping your device updated
  • Backing up important files outside the app

8. Data Retention

We do not maintain a cloud database of your vault files. Because vault content is stored locally on your device:

  • Deleting app data or uninstalling the app may permanently remove your local vault content
  • Clearing app storage may result in irreversible data loss
  • Exporting or moving files outside the vault is recommended before deleting or reinstalling the app

We do not retain your vault data on our servers.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

10. User Rights and Control

You have control over:

  • Your local vault data stored on your device
  • App permissions granted in Android settings
  • Camera permissions
  • Biometric permissions
  • Internet/network permissions
  • Installed app data and uninstall actions

You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. If you do so, some app features may stop working or become unavailable.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Legal requirements
  • App feature updates
  • Android policy changes
  • Advertising or analytics changes

Any changes will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after any update indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
